Monkeys in the Wild, Singapore
Day 5
A very hot and humid walk to the Treetop Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Monkeys right beside the path, a treat to watch them eating fruits and nuts. They find these themselves, no one is feeding them.
We then headed into the city centre. Visited St Andrews Cathedral, Chijmes - the renovated Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus - stunning archiecture. Then the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel. We also discovered the courtyard fountain there was made at Macfarlane's in Glasgow.
On to Suntec City for another delicious meal at the Soup Restaurant. We also saw the world's largest fountain in full flow.
The day ended on a high, with a night walk across the Helix Bridge to the Marina Bay Sands resort. It is huge, more wow factor comments. The view across the city is very special. CJ thought it might be a good idea to suggest coming here for next year's site visit.
I walked 23,342 steps today, a record.
