William's cook.

This is one of the costumed guides at Wordsworth House Cockermouth. The National Trust house is the birthplace of the poet.. I visited it to write a blog about what is going on there but there was so much, and so many plans, that I came away with pages of notes. After doing my interview having a chat over a mug of coffee I had a quick look round. As well as cooking this lady kitcehn wench was telling her audience how many kitchen maids felt faint and then died. Carbon monoxide poisoning apparently.
Many thanks to the people who completed (or tried to) Tamsin's survey.
