Leek!

Leek was one of our destinations today. Nice place with lots of pubs, which came in handy when avoiding hail showers. Red Lion pubs became popular during the reign of James 1st or 6th if you are Scottish, when he encouraged publicans to use the red lion of the Scottish Royal Standard. Leek can trace it's market back to 1207, impressive! The last pic is of the Green Dragon.... I wondered if I was in Bywater! LOTR joke!
