Wellingtonia

There were some very small ducklings in the park today, but they moved so fast that I couldn't capture a sharp image with the compact camera I had with me (despite trying over very many frames).

So today you have one of the speciment trees planted in the park when it was laid out as the garden to the country house (which these days is a restaurant).  This particular tree is apparently a Wellingtonia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) from California.
