It's fun to build

We discovered a source of good, reasonably priced firewood recently, so today we bought a cubic meter of birch.
It came home on a trailer and then we had to stack it, which involved a learning curve, but as you can see we succeeded.
The weather was not cooperative and if you look carefully you can see just how soggy we were. But the smiles are genuine and despite the weather it was fun, both for Jan, myself and Stephen, our friend visiting from England.
The wood will sit there all spring and summer and next winter will be perfect for burning.
Once we were finished we went in and a lit a fire, with last year's wood.
