Count the rings

This tree must have fallen during a recent storm. As I have been busy in the office, I hadn't been down to Dean Village for some time. The tree has been cut up and place on a little used cobble pavement. One side has more growth than the other as it is very exposed to the prevailing winds.

Anyone who has watched a certain program know that trees may in some years have two or more growth rings.
