Spring Blossom @ Diemel Heights

This time of the year is very ambivalent. In the morning pushing your blankets aside there is this wintery chilliness and unatractive darkness. In the course of the morning some sunlight comes breaking through. Toward midday you can feel some warmth. And as you want to go for a walking round, it is unclear how to dress. Is this not too hot? Should we prepare for a shower? Will we go for the short round or are we fit enough for some more?

How good to feel this cold wind blowing, I thought as we left. She wanted to avoid the forest because of the stormy outlook. So we left for our Diemel Height round. Near the Krukenburg Ruin. The footpath mounts slowly. You can stroll through apple orchards. See the buds and fresh pointing leaflets. Springtime has arrived definitely. But the grass remains wet with pearly drops. In the fields no reapsead yellows will be seen over here. Only grass…

Near the big renovated sheep cottage I discover a tiny melodious landscape. It forms a scene in itself. The rhythm of the stones. Underlining the triple verticals of the trees. The tiny blossom. Patches of rosa. Shed and wall. That is all. Not exactly a garden. But a separate space of gardianship. A modest contribution to honour the universal beauty of nature.
