Weathered wood and peeling paint

A canoe appeared on the beach the other day, deposited by the tide I think.  I took a few shots the first time I spotted it and stopped on my walk this morning to take a few more.  I love the patterns created by the weathered wood and peeling paint.  I'm not sure what that is hanging over the edge.  I thought it was seaweed but it isn't.  The entire canoe is in the extra.  It has definitely seen better days!
Mixed sun and cloud this morning, and a cool breeze to make my walk even more pleasant.
