Pretty good
Took Squidge into work this afternoon (pic of her posing outside the office) as Angus had investor meetings for his restaurant in town with his business partner (the will he, won't he ever get his own place saga continues!)
Squidge had a play date this morning with her buddy Grace and had her pretty top on and had got her hair done in plaits (just like her). She was like a little Grace clone. It did make me chuckle. She looked so cute.
She has two amazing friends in Wilmslow now and it's so wonderful to hear her talking so fondly of them and seeing the friendships develop.
Work is back to usual crazy. But I don't seem to know how to work any other way. Our smallest client last year has tripled our workload and is now our biggest (it was worth hanging in there, can't believe I considered dropping them 6 months ago!) and I have been slightly nervous about delivering everything they have asked for. I have taken a new events person on to help us and she is amazing. Saw her in action today and felt reassured that we're on the right track.
Can also see plans for some actual proper designed offices coming together in the city this Autumn to befit our company's new size and goals.
Driving home in the car with Squidge in the back singing along to the Annie soundtrack (her new fave) this evening, I had this wonderful feeling that things are pretty good right now. Never like acknowledging that - as I always have the fear that acknowledging it somehow curses things!
But not sure things will ever be this good so it's worth celebrating and noting.
Work is great and I am fulfilled and we're solvent, both sets of our parents are happy and healthy (as are our friends and family), we have a gorgeous bubbly almost-four year old who makes us laugh and smile every day, we (Angus and I) are still madly in love, Angus is in our lives and not working stupid hours as he was and we are finally settling into our new Cheshire life and taking steps to turn our house into a home.
If I get knocked over by a bus tomorrow, it was at a high point! Over and out.
