faded grandeur

this is the house next door to where my french course is based. The whole road was full of grand old houses but is now very shabby and run down which is a real shame. Good for some photos though! 
Had an afternoon tour of Perpignan today conducted in French , accompanied by the other two 'students' on my course, both of whom are Spanish speaking. Was also amused to be given a 'student card'. Not had one of those for many years! 
Apologies for my lack of comments.  Awaiting a phone line connection to get internet so I'm blipping from McD again. Have to rush though as I've been given far too much homework to do. I wonder if I'll get detention if I don't do it .
