Perspective

Excursion day today - we went to Pula - this is the largest Roman amphitheatre outside Italy, and very impressive, looking out over the harbour. (The guy taking a photo is the international director of our organisation, as I found out while chatting to him on the coach.) As we Christians walked round it, moving to be told that earlier Christians were led out, unarmed, to be torn apart by lions and other wild beasts in this very place.

I was also moved by the group of Ukrainians leading the singing in the morning session - especially when they sang in their own language, with the unintelligible script on the screen. They also have suffered so much in the past two years.

Rather puts being cold in Mora, and missing my grandson, into perspective.
