Always a lovely surprise....

... when the family drops in.

This is #3 daughter who popped in today from Wellington, NZ. She is fine, although looks like she will have to move again after just getting settled. Her flat mate is made redundant and so will have a cancelled work permit and have to leave the country.

So she may be back to the hostel. She continues to work for the Civil Aviation Authority. I was pleased to hear that it is considered one of the best earthquake-proofed buildings in the city. They had a big quake last Friday within 5 km of the city - luckily it was 50km down!
