A bit of ground under a big sky
We awoke this morning to a world of ice glittering in the sunshine. Then followed a very frustrating drive to Campbell's swimming lessons through potential blip after missed blip. Purple and pink skies over sparkling turquoise and deep blue seas and white capped hills passed us by as we hurried to get to the pool in time.
Not that it would have mattered if we did have a moment to stop as the camera was still at home... you'd think I would got the hang of this take your camera everywhere with you at all times malarky by now!
By the time we got back from Kirkwall most of the frost had gone and this massive snow cloud was looming on the horizon. It dumped a light covering of wet slushy snow on us and headed on South.
Ours may be a tiny island in a small archipelago on the edge of the world but some days you just can't help humming this.
