Cat at Cotehele!

Off to Cotehele today as the sun was shining! I took photos of fritillaries as my sister sat on a bench and knitted her sock! It was just perfect - both of us pursuing our hobbies in the most perfect setting - birds singing, bees buzzing and warm in the sun!
I met Garden Designer in the shop and found out she nearly called me to help her measure out a garden again - I told her she should have and to call me next time - I love poking round otherwise private gardens and she is good company!
We also met the bengal cat in the orchard - I think she spotted a bee and got ready to pounce! It explained why some big clumps of daffodils were flattened as if something had landed in the middle of them! We also met a lady gathering the daffodils - she was collecting 27 varieties to show at  Trelissick  at the weekend. There were slate boards by some daffodils  giving information on the variety  but we didn't find 27 although we certainly saw numerous  varieties  of both daffodil and narcissi ! The oldest we found was introduced in 1620 but my favourite was the Butter and Eggs variety introduced in the 17th century!
Back home to the newbies who are now coming mob handed into the kitchen - Pip even ventured into the hallway and I heard my sister shooing it out! Milly and Tilly never ventured so far and I am going to buy another run to give them more room to play when I go out and leave them cooped up!
Just had to tell my sister off as she keeps waving to the fish! If they see movement they presume they are to be fed so I keep telling her not to "wave at the fish" as it's cruel, but she likes the way they all converge and go into a swimming frenzy! She may not get a birthday present tomorrow if she persists in such behaviour! She is reading this as I type, she thinks I'm joking! I'm not!!!
