Colours of Spring

We went for a wander high on the Moors today, in search of raptors and Spring migrants. It was very cold but pleasant. Not much happening on the raptor front - one solitary Kestrel. We were delighted to spot 3 Ring Ouzels (too distant for photos), but otherwise, there were only Red Grouse and plenty of Meadow Pipits. As we arrived home and looked out of the kitchen window, we spotted 2 Siskins on our feeders. This one adjourned to next door's damson tree, which is now covered in buds.
