bird watching
A few hours at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve today. As usual the pheasant was the best photo but that's gone mono.
We visited several of the hides, again seeing photographers with lenses ten times the size of mine. I was happy with a good pair of binoculars. The highlight of the day was spotting the avocets near the Allen hide on the shore of Morecambe Bay. Other sightings were a little egret, black headed gulls (lots), and oystercatchers.
In extras there's a photo of swallows and sand martins gathering on the electricity wires.
