Pills aint what they used to be

I take tablets for migraine. With the agreement of my GP I take the lowest dose that works for me. This involves halving the smallest available tablet, which can be easy with some brands that are actually pre-scored. Unfortunately the variety most often supplied (cheapest?) are these very hard round things which need a pill splitter, even this needed the blade reinforcing before it would do the job without bending.
