Edible Weed

The Henbit weed appears along roadsides and in lawns this time of year.  I noticed it due to the pretty tiny orchid-like flowers.  I looked it up to discover it is edible, admired by hummingbirds, and used as an herb and in tea.  The stems, leaves and flowers are very nutritious.  These flowers certainly would brighten up a salad.
