Scottish Curry Awards

I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the Scottish Curry Awards, held in Glasgow tonight. This was the 9th annual event and it was a huge success as well as an enjoyable night. This is an industry that has grown from nothing some 60 odd years ago to be a central part of practically every village, town and city in Scotland. It is now a huge industry employing enormous numbers of people as well as being an extremely popular place to go for a meal or get a takeaway from.

I was also asked to present one of the awards, which was the award for the Curry King or Queen. This year the winner was Yasmin McDonagh.
