The last of Maria's delicious Pear Frangipane

Maria is good at baking and she treated us to a homemade pear frangipane.
We had a few good servings with crème fraiche, enjoying it to the last mouthful! Thank you Maria.
It is raining this morning but the sky is trying to brighten up.
Maria returns to York this afternoon and I will miss her a lot.
Arthur woke me up quite early, which was just as well as the drying needed to be done, and it is always good to try and be ahead with the housework.
I am listening to some nice relaxing piano music with the sound of the sea in the background.
