Only one shoe...

I was a home with a friend, when the telephone rang. It was my mum. She can be on the phone for ages, so I asked my friend to answer for me pretending I was out. I know, I know... naughty.

So he answered the phone. To the question to when I'd be back he replied:

"No idea. She'll probably get home with no knickers and wearing only one shoe"

It says a lot about my mum that she replied: "Only one shoe? Only one shoe?"

She didn't seem to be worried about the "no knickers" bit....
