Roxburgh Gorge Trail

Today 14 members of the walking group headed to Alexandra, and walked from there down the true right of the Clutha River to Butcher's Creek which was just over 4 k's away.  We had our lunch overlooking the river, then headed back to the cars, (9 k's total walk), and a enjoyed a refreshing cuppa at a local cafe.  The weather was perfect, and for many of the group it was the first time that they had walked this trail.  The river was very calm, and the reflections just lovely.

The extra photo is of some of the group walking past the rocky outcrops.  btw, these three walkers are all over 80!!
