Nest watch 2016

The red tails are back in their usual spot and the 2nd nest that I spotted last year has been appropriated by a pair of gorgeous bald eagles. When I first spotted one on the nest I checked with the local Audobon SocIety because the tree is located In the middle of farmland that is being quickly filled with houses. I then heard from someone at the Fish and Game Commission who reassured me that he had met with the developer and the local government and that the nest is being closely monitored. It's the only eagle nest in our county, so everyone is very excited and protective.
