Cat in the grass

Ok it's actually a leaf but it looks like a cat.

We were meant to be going on a Welsh Terrier walk today.  I had been looking forward to it for ages but Mr F had to work and as the walk was in North London and hence quite a drive, I didn't want to go on my own. Murphy hasn't mastered driving yet.

So instead Mr F went to work in my small car and I took the bigger car to the dump with all the stuff that we had been meaning to throw away for quite a while.  Some of it was heavy and I had hoped that someone would come to my rescue and help carry the stuff to the different skips but they didn't so I was there quite a while.

There is always a big tub of golf clubs there.  There was a man and his son looking at them.  I suggested that it was a great way of getting a set of clubs.  He asked would he need to pay and I said "don't be silly, they are just going to scrap them".  I saw them later on wandering off looking very pleased with some clubs.

On my return home after a relaxing cup of tea I tackled some over grown bushes in the garden.

And as yesterday's sourdough was such a disaster today I've made a rhubarb and almond cake.  It looks OK in the tin but I didn't have a spring form tin of the right size so I am hoping that I can get it out.

And I hope Shirley enjoyed her weekend in Winchester.  I met her yesterday.  She was 85 and I had come down from Norwich for her friend's surprise birthday. I helped her to find the cathedral.  It hides in Winchester as it doesn't have a spire and its behind the shops.  She hugged and kissed me and thanked me for going out of my way to show her.  She was such a sweet old lady.
