Sunday: Venetian Church
I am sure this church has a magnificent name but, to be honest, there are so many wonderful churches in Venice, I'd be hard pressed to tell you which one this is, given that we just happened to pass it, rather than seek it out. It is amazing to walk into these churches and just see works by the likes of Tintoretto as if they were everyday objects.
I took this as we walked to the vaporetto to head back to the main bus terminal from where we were collected to go and pick up our car (which we had left with a car parking service across the water). Just three and a half hours later and we are now back in Zagreb - our experiences of this week now a memory. It is odd to think that just this morning we were on the Venetian canals.
It's been a great trip (including the brass band who were playing 'When The Saints Go Marching In' outside our window at 2am last night - we heard them disappear into the distance, only for them to have just gone round the block and reappear a few minutes later......).
