I LOVE this place! It was our treat after spending three hours sussing out curtains for nine windows. One of the reasons it is taking extra long is because I've got to send pictures to the owner's of what's available and in stock in the shop, and wait to hear back from them and go through a decision-making process... I was so happy to be wheeling two trolleys towards the check-out!

And before that, we had a more leisurely start to the day (read a lie-in). I was dressed and ready to go, then decided I really did need to record yesterday's spend on the spreadsheets I have set up, so did that. We had been told by IKEA to expect a call before 11am to say when delivery might be. At 11:40, we still hadn't heard so decided to head to the flats anyway.

You wouldn't believe it, just as I shut my laptop lid, they phoned. Twenty minutes... So we raced over to find... the cleaners had come earlier than planned and were nearly finishing with the second flat. PERFECT! The delivery men were able to take the furniture to the apartment which was further away first, leaving them a shorter distance to carry stuff later. It was quite staggering watching the way one man in particular just kept going. By the time they got everything off the truck, they had shifted 2 tonnes in just over 40 minutes!

So... there was time for lunch in what is fast becoming a favourite eating place - Tamala in Kiti; then the three hour mini-marathon in Mr Bricolage. You can imagine how welcome the time at Finikoudes was... and wouldn't you know it... LONG queue of cars all piling into the strip... it was so slow moving, I was beginning to wonder if we should have given it a miss.

Then, miraculously, G found a parking space! So we parked up and started walking... and it just so happened... they were having an outdoor art and craft fair. As you can see - we also indulged in a decadent dessert courtesy of completing an online survey for TGIF.

God is very good! :D
