Another Hospital

This is a picture that I took from the service bus while I was going back home from school. It really bothers me how there are constructions everywhere, and how easy it actually is to find constructions to take pictures of. This is a picture of the hospital that is being built near my home. It was built on a sloped, green terrain that was a home to stray dogs, but now,only thing left of that home is stone. This picture means a lot to me, and I hope that someday it also means a lot to other people as well, because we are the ones who are destroying the nature.

Urbanization is a really big issue in our day, especially for Istanbul, which is a city that is growing very fast. A lot of trees are being cut down to build more hotels, more business places, more houses, more plazas, and everyone is just watching all these happen. Some people seem to be really unaware of what is happening around them, and some people are acting as they are unaware, because they really don't care. And there are some people who sit and write on Facebook or Twitter, and say that they are "taking action". The most sad thing is, people who really do take action are simply quelled by the government because the people working for the government also benefit from these constructions, as they get nice treats that fill their bank accounts afterwards.
