Departure Day

A bit warmer and sunnier than yesterday. Started the day with another pleasant morning run along the river Aare, went to the breakfast buffet straight away still wearing the running gear, packed and showered afterwards as we had arranged for a late checkout.

I still like the part of Interlaken (or to be precise Unterseen) which is off the beaten tourist tracks. I try to avoid and ignore the myriads of watch and souvenir shops along the main street for the tourist groups emerging from the coaches (see also the extra).

Scenic drive along the lake of Thun, up to Schallenberg (Emmental) and down to Lucern, Zug and Zurich.

Spaghetti with fresh wild garlic (Bärlauch) and Carmignano Terre a Mano for dinner as the fridge is completely empty otherwise.
