Brimstone Butterfly

This afternoon I went for a walk on Whixall Moss. I saw my first chiffchaff and heard a stonechat though couldn't see it. I enjoyed watching a pair of curlews flying round and round together before dropping down in various places - looking for nesting sites I assume. 

I was pleased to see my first Brimstone butterfly of the year which was feeding on this colt's foot plant.
