Not Quite..

.. a Claude Monet lol.   Rubbish weather and light this morning  but for the first time I saw two Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus) in the big pond where I walk past with the pups. They have very ornate head plumes which led to them being hunted for their feathers which just about led to their extinction. They have a very elaborate courtship display in which they rise out of the water and shake their heads.    They were quite a distance away and with the lighting its not the best of shots but I played about with it in lightroom to try and get an impressionist affect, so if you don't look to close it just about works lol xx
