Karen's 'big' birthday is in about a month and we had great fun picking out her present.

You can get jewellery in lots of places but in Glasgow the nicest experience is to shop in the Argyll Arcade.

If you are lucky they will sit you down, offer you a glass of fizz and a fancy chocolate and make the whole thing feel special.

We were lucky. And the gift is now reserved for collection nearer the time.
