Curacao

Sometimes the only way I can "be still" is to sit down to a jigsaw puzzle. And even then, I don't want the puzzle to take too long - so 500 piecers are good because I can finish them in 2 evenings.
This is a painting of the port in Curacao. I was there for a scuba diving trip in 2004 and it really does look like this. I was told the houses were painted different colors back in the 1800s because the local doctor told the townsfolk it would keep them from being blinded by the glaring sun on white buildings. Coincidentally, the doctor owned the local paint store too :-)
