Sheilah's snaps

Tree Bark

I do not take it lightly that I had a great deal of freedom in my childhood years, often disappearing for hours away from any form of adult supervision.
This tree, and the woodland around it, has many memories for me. Interesting that Mum remembers it as the tree that my own son took great enjoyment in climbing.
After our walk, I took Mum for a drive to another garden centre, where we spent so long browsing and wondering at how much stuff we can live without, that - shock horror - we missed the café (I know.. the end of the world...!)
So when Mum's neighbour-over-the-road called in, just as we arrived back at the house, with freshly baked cakes it was perfect timing.
A random act of kindness and much appreciated!
