So much for the lazy Saturday I had planned!

I've not been sleeping well this week, for no apparent reason, so managed a little lie in this morning until Mr A left for work.

My main task for today was to prep the bathroom, so it was ready for when Mr A got home.

He bricked up the hole last night, so today I needed to strip the wallpaper and try and remove the broken tile without damaging the ones either side. We bought a tool called a grout rake; this was hard going to use but I soon got through the grout and the tile just popped out. Phew!

Stripping the paper also brought some of the plaster with it; its so brittle. We've agreed to just get the whole lot skimmed so that we have a nice, uniform base to paint over.

Mr A is going to rough plaster over the newly bricked hole tonight, then hopefully next week we can get the plasterer in to skim it all again.

Whilst having a much needed tea break, I spied this little fella and luckily he was still there when I got back with my camera.
