Butterfly, fly away
Little Miss had her 11th birthday today. We discovered at breakfast time that she was born at 14:31, so she was mindful that she wouldn't actually be 11 until that time.
However, we enjoyed a birthday breakfast with lots of gifts and laughs.
Then her friend, H, rang up to say that she wouldn't make the zoo birthday bash. Little Miss was brave and kind, but very disappointed. Super Dad jumped into action. H had sprained her ankle the previous day, so wouldn't be able to walk around. Mr B secured her a wheelchair for the day and voila, she was able to come with us!
We had a great time at the zoo. Little Miss kept thanking us for the best day ever and was just so happy.
Then home for delicious birthday cake and a jump on the trampoline before the girls were picked up.
Mr B packed up the Landcruiser and took Little Miss off for a night's camping at Hanging Rock. Cousteau and I are enjoying a bit of down time in our quiet little house.
It's been a busy old day, but a good one too. I particularly enjoyed taking a number of shots in the Butterfly House while the girls were doing their Butterfly Quiz.
Night all.
