Charm offensive

Our last day in Cornwall and apart from a bit of shopping in Newquay and present purchases in Mawgan Porth, we have stayed in the bay. Surfing and beach walking were delayed until this afternoon but were then fully appreciated even though the blue sky and sunshine of the last couple of days had well and truly disappeared.

Bailey slept most of the morning away following yesterday's hike, keeping the (injured) favourite company whilst we shopped. This afternoon he charmed the lady in the beach shop who pronounced that he was more handsome than the average border - we didn't disagree. And tonight he has charmed several people in the pub. I think it's something to do with his salty sea dog look.

An early start is planned for the morning in order to get out of the county before most other folk. We'll be sorry to leave but already have a plan to be back next Easter.
