Hardknott

After a fairly straightforward journey to the lakes, we experienced the most hair-raising drive over Wrynose and Hardknott Pass to get to our holiday home in Eskdale.

The house is fantastic with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

We cracked open a few bottles then, because it was raining so heavily, got a taxi to the local for dinner.
Back now and warm in cosy in the sitting room with a roaring fire.
