Eymet...market square

We are staying in Eymet, a bastide (fortified) town in the south of the Dordogne region.
Eymet market square is bordered by arcades, faced with stone and wood, dating from the 13th to 15th centuries.
Eymet is currently famous (notorious?) as the site of the most recent British invasion.....about a third of its population are now British expats.
The extra pic is a swan living in the River Dropt, by which we are camped. Its mate is nesting about 50 yards away and he shot over to see me off when I appeared with my camera....he doesn't like paparazzi...
