Today's the day ................................. to push the button

There was a time in my life when I could never understand why anyone would ever have a tumble dryer. You just hung washing on the line for a while and when you brought them in they were just about ready to go.

But then - that was when we lived on the east side of the country. Within a few weeks of moving to Kendal over on the west - I understood completely. Now, I can't imagine life without one especially when you have a summer like the one we are in the middle of now.

Mind you - there's something in me that still makes me want to hang the washing outside and see it blowing in the wind. I just don't seem to get the chance very often ......................................
