Red Tomatoes

In the Spring a gardening friend of mine offered me some outdoor tomato plants and I thought to myself that it would probably be October till I saw any ripe ones being this far North. How wrong was I! Here, in the middle of July they are ripening away nicely, whilst the ones in the greenhouse are as green as grass and the size of marbles.
