Kites

Red Kites are becoming a common sight in this part of Wales.  Today as the Talyllyn train approached Dolgoch woods four of them took to the air, sweeping out into the valley.  There may well be birds nesting in the woods as we have seen one or more here on every trip this week.  They often fly alongside the train, sometimes quite close when they are first disturbed.

A grey day, turning to rain but after so much sunshine this week we cannot complain.
