Too Much Baking Under The Sun Lamp
"The Donald" really stepped into crap this week.
His first unimaginable statement was that it would be fine for Japan and South Korea to possess nuclear weapons. The military, former (and current) National Security Advisors and anyone who knows anything tore him to shreds.
Then he took on NATO. Apparently, the US doesn't need to be a part of it and if the member nations didn't start paying their fair share he would no longer support the alliance.
In a live TV interview on Wednesday night he said his Pro-life position would have him do whatever he could to make abortions in this country illegal. Worse, when asked if then women who had them illegally should be punished, he said they should (but not the men - who are kind of involved, don't you think?) He pissed off people on both sides of the issue with that one.
During the same interview when asked whether he would consider the use of nuclear bombs in the mid-East, the response was affirmative. More unhinged than that, if you can believe it, was that he wouldn't definitively rule out nuking Europe, saying he wanted to always keep every option on the table. Seriously? Which country does he think we're at war with in Europe?
It looks like he might be dropping in the polls. He has a 70% negative rating in this country among women, 80% with Blacks and 85% by Hispanics. He ain't gonna win, assuming the Republicans actually let him become their nominee, which looks less likely every day.
