Sunrise at the beach

I had planned to get up early to get some sunrise shots over the sea. However the forecast today was  for cloudy weather and no sunshine - and 36C! We decided to set our alarms and to get up despite the forecast as it is often wrong - and thankfully it was wrong! The sun rises at 6.07am and we were at the beach just before that - it was already full of walkers and joggers on the promenade. 

I ha planned to get a long exposure shot of the rock pools but when I saw these fisherman I knew that was going to be my choice of image today. I have added an extra of a mum and son going for an pre-sunrise walk on the beach, the smoky water in the rock pools, and the sunrise on the horizon. 

The boys went off to a gym and we wandered around a shopping mall but did not buy anything. The local supermarket does sushi to order and we ordered some for lunch, and then relaxed around the pool. We are now waiting for the boys other cousin to arrive (my brother's son) who happens to be in Durban on business - they have not seen him in many years so it will be exciting to see him again.

Our last night tonight - we are having a big family dinner as we fly back to London tomorrow.
