Pink and White Terraces, Lake Rotomahana

I'm running out of daylight so a desperado blip tonight. 
Once upon a time, a long time ago, these amazing terraces near Rotorua were considered the 8th wonder of the world and before they were destroyed in the eruption of Mount Tarawera on June 10th, 1886, Dr D's great grandfather Charles Blomfield painted them in oils...here they are.
