Jumping Spider vs. Yellow Jacket

 
Once upon a time I watched a wasp fly into the web of my pet garden spider.
It thrashed about and seem to be trapped.
The spider ran over to capture his prey, but was stung by the wasp who then flew off with the spider.
Today I found a yellow jacket who did not do as well with a big (10mm) jumping spider who lives on the clematis trellis.

I’ve come to appreciate very much these pugnacious jumping spiders who patrol my garden.
