Hidden charges

Most of my banking - personal and business - is done with a certain well-known high street bank.

And this is the little gismo which allows me to have some control of my accounts on-line and in doing so, protect me against scallywags who may try to pinch what little I've got.

However, when I tried to transfer some money on Monday evening, the message said that my battery was low. How it knew I was tired and needed to have an early night to re-charge my batteries I will never know, but I thought I should take the back off the thing and see if it meant the battery inside said gismo.

To my horror, not only one battery was found but FOUR. It's just cost me £8 to replace them so once again, thank you Mr Banker. For nothing.
