Siamese cat and kittens

This mini jigsaw was a gift from a friend many years ago and has been cherished ever since. It acts as a reminder of the Siamese cats my mother had when we were living in Knowsley, Cleopatra (CleeClee) and Taihaku (TaiTai). Two aristocratics among the tabbies. CleeClee was mated to produce pure bred kittens, and make our fortunes. Alas, she failed the first attempt and had to be returned. Driving 40 miles with a female looking, very vocally, for a mate is not an easy task. The second attempt, just before our holidays meant she stayed at the stud place longer than anticipated. On return she had lost the kittens and got some cat fever that left her skin and bone. When she next went into season, the back door was opened and she produced the most beautiful black kittens.
