Busy day

So, Little Miss and I set about making our lolly bags for her party on Saturday. We bought some, but they were rubbish, so we took them back. Much more fun to make our own anyway. We also made up some prizes for the quizzes we're planning to do - one in the Butterfly House and one for the Reptiles - at the zoo.

Then I let her get on with some reading while I finished off the planting at the inlaws'. I was quite pleased with how pretty the last barrel looks with its potted colour. 

I was about to head home, when Mr B turned up with a trailer load of mulch, so we spent the next couple of hours spreading four trailer loads of mulch around the front garden to finish it off. It looks amazing!

We were about to leave, when Mr B pointed out his initials and his brother's too. The date made us all gasp! It's exactly thirty years ago today! Mr B was just a little older than Little Miss is now. Quite a coincidence and a lovely end to a productive day.
