Wednesday: Treviso

We departed Sirmione this morning and, after a two hour drive east, we are now in Treviso, a lovely old town. Our accommodation is wonderful - a B&B. run by a lovely older lady with white hair in a bun.........

We strolled around the town this afternoon and there will be some lovely detail to explore.

Thanks for the positive response to yesterday's picture - I was asked to explain. Not much to explain really, just a group of school children having their photo taken on the shores of the Lake.

Having a cough which keeps me awake and no internet is conducive to lots of reading - in one day I read 'A House in Flanders' by Michael Jenkins, a memoir of a summer he spent in France in the early 1950s with a family of extended aunts and uncles - it evoked the time wonderfully.
