Beware!

When you are out walking in Cumbria, or even if you are just in your own home, beware of the little folk.

Here are four of them to help you recognise some of them:
 
On the left is Jack Ironteeth - he haunts leadmines. He has gleaming sharp teeth made from Fluorspar and he protects the mines from intruders.
 
In the middle are two Boggarts - tiny Burdock and big Medlar. Boggarts are mischievous rather then harmful and rarely commit evil deeds. They like things to be tidy and are often to be found in houses creating order out of chaos, whilst the inhabitants are in bed - 'Star is shining, moon is breet; Boggarts won't come out toneet.'
 
And finally there is the famous Cumbrian Boggle, Lob Lubberfield - it can be spine-chilling to encounter a Boggle whilst in the hills, as they can take on any shape or form. Any unaccountable noise may be a Boggle. But don't worry, they won't harm the pure in heart or honest, upright folk.
